About Our Family
Rocks on the Porch began as a journey of healing and grew to include my children as The Board Kids. We consider these endeavors as blessings and count them with gratitude.
We create as individuals and as a family to be able to share our gifts with you.
Whether I am down in the studio painting, or the kids are out in the shop creating their works, we are always, always learning and growing in our arts to be able to present you with the best of what we can make.
We feel that we have been blessed with a wonderful immediate and extended family, our tribe that supports us, and we are grateful to be able to create in a multitude of ways that include wood working, art, and in the case of my husband, music.
Decades Together
Our family started to come together just after the turn of the century when I married the love of my life; a few years later our first child came along and taught us a whole new way of life together that we never imagined.
We are both trained teachers that have embraced new paths, but draw from the wells of our experience daily. We are fast approaching two decades of being a homeschool family and Rocks On The Porch and The Board Kids have been just some of the manifestations in our journey together. My husband and I believe in learning alongside our children, helping each other to grow in our interests, and that we honor God and our own lives by learning to create with the gifts that we have been given.
